Four-week Alcohol Ink courses

December 14, 2016 by Diane Marcotte

My next course starts Jan 18th at the Oakville Art Society in Oakville, Ontario.

Welcome to the fascinating world of painting with alcohol inks. This bright, beautiful medium offers amazing spontaneity and unlimited possibilities. I give you the tools, techniques and ideas to understand movement and ink flow as you experiment and have fun with this medium. The journey will be exciting, challenging, unpredictable yet liberating as the inks flow and blend producing high-intensity, jewel-like colours. NO art experience is needed – open to all levels. It’s fun to try something new! Materials fee of $70 payable to instructor.

Learn to produce art like this:

Then following on Feb 15th there is a second class.

If you enjoyed creating with alcohol inks and want to take your art to the next level then this course is for you. Expand your knowledge of working with alcohol inks and discover various painting techniques you can use to give a more advanced look to your work. I will have you combining the inks with acrylic paints and pastels and with various mediums that create texture. Painting on wood panels, canvas and TerraSkin (stone paper) will be explored. Basic knowledge of this medium is necessary.
